well , this does prove a few things, though perhaps not what you might initially think. So to be clear, this does not confirm that dogs are dumb. But what it does confirm is that dogs are more than willing to play along with anyone who comes with the right energy. And seeing as this cat is doing its best to blend in and fit in, it is likely bringing the right energy with it.

We all need some support every now and then to remind us that even though we might be stressed, even though we might be fearful, we can do and will do the thing. And this cute cat child most certainly understood his assignment in the moment that his pawrent needed him most. We are so blessed to have such sensitive keepers in our lives.
